Follow Christ Not Culture
What is Revival Project
Revival Project was founded in 2023, we are a street ministry that preaches and teaches to the broken, religious, and those far away from God. Our mission is to bring a shift into culture, to contend for the faith and walk with authority in a collapsing world. The purpose of Revival Project is to not shout from a roof top that revival needs to happen, but to revive a culture one individual at a time. To meet them where they are at. To have an identity that is so rooted in Christ that culture recognizes the separation you have from it. To be the influencer and not the influenced. It is time for American-Christians to stop taking things in culture, placing bad theology over it, then preaching and teaching it back to them so that they feel like we relate to them. It was Christ who said that I came not to bring peace but with a sword.
Revival Project’s foundation is found in Acts chapter 5 verses 41 and 42, where the apostles were flogged for teaching in the synagogue, and Luke writes “Then they left, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for His name. And every day, in the synagogue and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching that the Christ is Jesus.” This is significant because American-Christians are so quick to turn away from suffering. But a true disciple of Christ will live boldly, and rejoice when they encounter suffering for His name sake. Then walk away from that suffering and do exactly what it was that brought forth the suffering in the first place. The second verse that Revival Project is grounded in comes from Jude verse 22 and 23, where Jude writes “And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.” There needs to be an urgency to go out and save those around you. Going as far as hating their sin for them, while loving the person.
Revival Project urges those who can hear to hear: that now is the time to read, now is the time to pray, now is the time to fast, for the time is near.
For we know, brothers, loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake. And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became an example to all the believers. For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you, but your faith in God has gone forth everywhere, so that we need not to say anything. For they themselves report concerning us the kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:4-10
